WENR Corp. Acquires Controlling Interest in Ad-trax

WIRE)—April 4, 2002—WENR Corp., (OTC: WENR) (www.wenr.net)
is pleased to announce that it has acquired controlling interest in Ad-trax LLC
(www.ad-trax.com). Ad-trax LLC is a developer and marketer of
web-enabled direct response tracking system for television media buying called
“Ad-trax.” Terms of the acquisition
were not disclosed.
Ad-trax
is a software program designed specifically for direct response television
advertising agencies. It was created
using the newest generation of Microsoft tools to provide agencies with a new
level of service for Long and Short Form media buying, Tape Trafficking,
Automatic Telemarketing Downloads, Auto-Sourcing, and flexible reporting and
analysis. This unique service allows the Company to service agencies by hosting
Ad-trax, which relieves the agency of the technological burden. For agencies
with in-house technical services staff, Ad-trax can be configured to run on
agency intranets.
Ad-trax’
service is provided to clients on a monthly license fee basis. Its target market is advertising agencies
and direct marketers. Ad-trax LLC has
developed its software over the past two years and is now offering it for beta
testing at a reduced monthly fee. Upon
completion of the beta test, estimated in the third quarter, the Company will
charge for the full suite of software, approximately $10,000 per month for each
customer. Currently the Company has
signed up two major advertising agencies and negotiating with others.
Direct
Response is a specialized form of advertising that compels the consumer to take
immediate action via phone or on the Internet to purchase goods or service or
to obtain information. Specifically,
direct response television commercial ads generally contain toll-free telephone
numbers, which helps elicit action by the viewer to order or request
information. Direct response sales from
Internet advertising, follows the same operational model except that the
consumer initiates a credit card transaction or requests information while
online. Ad-trax is designed to
integrate TV and Internet transactions and related ad insertion events into one
database application for use by direct response advertisers and other portals
whose business is driven by consumer action.
The television and Internet direct response market is in excess of $15
billion annually.
Ad-trax
intends to utilize ScreenFriends (www.screenfriends.com)
technology to target commercials based upon profile and demographics of
customers.
