Tue July 11, GI Tech Announces $600,000 Contract with DistribuStar LLC

LOS ANGELES, July 11, 2000-- WENR Corporation (OTC: WENR), (formerly Western Energy, Inc.) announced today that Global Image Technologies (Gitech.com) (wholly owned subsidiary of WENR Corp.) has finalized a contract to provide programming and Internet services for DistribuStar LLC. DistribuStar LLC is a Los Angeles based company that produces full-feature films. The expansion plan of DistribuStar LLC is to bring interactive film casting media to the web as well as traditional films and special events. These special events range from boxing to a new on-line concert venue.

GI Tech will develop and support the interactive multimedia and web streaming technology behind DistribuStar. GI Tech will be able to support wideband technology with 5 collocated server locations, in Denver, Los Angeles, Seattle, Kansas City and San Diego, all with gigabit plus capabilities ensuring the live events to be seen by many fans. Through the technology provided by GI Tech, visitors to DistribuStar's websites will be able to download full motion pictures, movies and view events. GI Tech's marketing department will be active in supporting the eMarketing campaign. First phase of the contract provides GI Tech with approximately $600,000 with projected second and third phases to be approximately $2.5M for 2001.

Additionally, GI Tech has bids pending on over $850,000 in web development and multimedia marketing projects. GI Tech's goal is to bid on approximately $1M in web development and multimedia marketing projects on a monthly basis.

GI Tech has developed a strategic alliance with Peachtree, a provider of accounting software. This alliance provides for GI Tech to be a programming partner with Peachtree and integrating Peachtree into its eCommerce websites for customers. Additionally, GI Tech is in the process of developing a similar strategic alliance with Oracle Corp., a provider of database software. The marketing department is also developing an alliance with 24/7 Media Group.

GI Tech is developing a marketing program of interactive CD-ROMs for medium to large companies. These CD's will have multi-media programming and the ability to tie into the client's website as a virtual corporate marketing brochure. The Company plans to rollout this product in early August.

GI Tech has doubled the size of its staff since WENR Corp. acquired it in March. It is negotiating on a larger office space to more than double the size of its headquarters in Ft. Collins, Colorado. GI Tech is also negotiating for space in Denver, Colorado, to establish a presence for sales, programming and marketing.
