WENR is pursuing various avenues of financing for the ScreenFriends Accessibility project. The Company has initiated the WENR Accessibility Fund to raise $2,000,000 to develop software for the hearing and vision impaired. The Fund will own 50% of the software for the hearing and vision impaired, while ScreenFriends will own the other 50%. The Company expects to fully fund the Accessibility Fund in the near future.
Since WENR did not file its Form 10SB registration statement as previously stated, it now has to conduct audits for the year 2000. The auditors reviewed the Company and its subsidiaries financial information through October 2000. The audit for 2000 should be finalized and the Form 10SB filed during the first quarter of this year.
ScreenFriends Company
Recently the Generation Two version of ScreenFriends was released. The software has several new functionalities for computer users, making it more voice interactive and ability to customize the web navigational menus. Among the new additions are the animated characters' capabilities to read your email upon voice request and deliver daily promotional messages from sponsoring companies.
ScreenFriends is providing a free "Demo" download for up to 15 uses of the Generation One version. The Company is now charging $9.95 for a CD of the Generation Two version, $5.95 for a downloadable upgrade to Generation Two and $2.95 for each licensed character. The Company is developing avenues of distribution through third parties.
Recently the Company was represented at the NATPE (National Association of Television Programming Executives) convention in Las Vegas. The Company made numerous contacts for future projects. Additionally, the Company has formed an alliance with Streamedia Communications WorldwideTM (NASDAQ: SMIL) to cross promote projects and technology for both companies.
Global Image Technologies Company
GI Tech has continued to develop and maintain web sites for customers. It has also assisted ScreenFriends in providing web-based and e-commerce support. It has increased its Global Reprographics sales by 40% over the same period last year. Furthermore, GI Tech is poised to provide technology development for the WENR Accessibility Fund software and establish a presence in the Los Angeles market for web development and multimedia programming.
