Bobby Roberts Joins the WENR Board of Directors as Chairman LOS ANGELES – August 5, 2003 – The Board of Directors of WENR Corp. (OTC: WNRC)
(www.wenr.net) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bobby Roberts to the Board and nominated him Chairman. Bobby Roberts is a well-known film producer and entertainment veteran. ScreenFriends’ Inter(Face)(TM) is proprietary software utilizing speech command-response technology with animation to provide a user to talk to a character to navigate his computer. Upon voice command, the software opens and closes programs, searches databases and index systems, surfs the Web, delivers dynamic online messages (reads and delivers: e-mail, stock quotes, news, movie reviews, weather reports etc.) to the user. Mr. Roberts is a long-term member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences and is currently the Executive Producer of “Monte Walsh,” a four-hour television movie starring Tom Selleck, for Turner Studios. He recently produced “An Evening with Luciano Pavarotti,” at the Palm Springs-Indian Wells Tennis Stadium. Previously he produced numerous films including; “The Hot Rock,” “Death Wish,” “Death Wish II,” “Gypsy Moths,” “Monte Walsh,” among others. He is also known for his stature in the music industry. He founded Dunhill Records, whose artist roster included The Mamas and the Papas, Three Dog Night, Steppenwolf, and Johnny Rivers and managed legendary performers such as The Mamas and The Papas, Richard Pryor, Mort Sahl, Mama Cass Elliott, Paul Anka, Ann-Margret, Johnny Rivers and many others. Earlier, Roberts served as President of the Lorimar Music Group, a unit of Lorimar. Most recently, he was the owner of the Los Angeles Stars basketball franchise for the newly-re-launched American Basketball Association and, as such, personally secured the services of legendary Los Angeles basketball figures, John Wooden to server as Consultant, Paul Westhead as Coach, and Jamaal Wilkes as Vice President, Basketball Operations.
